Caroline's 4 Month Check-Up

Weight:13.2 lbs (35%)  (11 lbs and 55% 2 months)

Height: 24.5 inches in 56 %  (23.25 inches and 80% at 2 months)

Caroline had her 4 month check-up today and is doing great she is meeting all of her milestones. Yay!  Although Caroline hasn't rolled over yet, it isn't on the 4 month milestone chart. She is a little "floppy" and not the best with keeping herself up right.  I think part of this has to do with her nystagmus.  She is always positioning her head to the right and down, so she naturally starts to slope in that direction.  

As you can see from her stats, she is starting to decline in her precentiles.  We knew this would be the case, but hopefully she slows down in her decline.  I would much rather start growth hormones when she can understand why I am giving her a shot every day.  I HATE the thought of giving a baby or toddler a shot.  When she had to get her two shots to day, it made me so sad to think I will have to do that to her everyday.  I know it would be in her best interest, but it is still heartbreaking.  :o(

I wasn't planning on giving Caroline solids for a few week or maybe a month or two.  No reason other than I am just not in a rush.  However, doctor is wanting us to start solids in the next two weeks to help Caroline with her weight gain.
