So we started our journey with several traffic delays, but thank goodness I left an hour and a half early! Caroline slept the entire way there! Doesn't she look peaceful? I want to sleep like that in the car.
They have awesome park that Aubrey would love!
I think she knows something is up and she is not going to like it. Ha!
Well, apparently Caroline's foot is absolutely fine, but her left hip is not. While looking at her legs, the nurse practitioner noticed that one leg was longer than the other. She then began moving Caroline's hips and felt her hip pop into socket. Apparently it has been out of socket since birth. We were then sent to radiology to do a hip ultrasound to confirm hip not being in the socket. After they got the images, the doctor came in to discuss Miss Caroline's Hip Dysplasia. Ugh!!
So Caroline has to wear the Pavlik Harness for 23 hours a day and do a repeat ultrasound next Thursday. If it is working, we will continue doing ultrasounds and if it is not, they will start to discuss doing a body cast. She seems okay with it and has continued to sleep through the night. She seemed a little frustrated the first day, but she is getting better as the days go on. I honestly think it is harder on me than it is on her. I just feel so bad for her! I am glad they caught it, but I just wish she never had it to begin with. Can't she go to one stinking doctors appointment and get the all clear?!?!
Miss Caroline modeling her new harness while demonstrating that nothing will interfere with her rattle time. Ha!
