Spoons and Signs

Once in a while a mommy has to show her daughter a fun trick while eating out. Today's fun trick was balancing a spoon on your nose. I placed it on her nose, and she actually got it to stay there.

Aubrey is doing good with talking, but we still use signs. Here are some of her signs.

Please-Instead of rubbing her hand in a circle in the middle of her chest, she will rub both hand on her chest like she is wiping something off of her hands.

Eat-She brings her hand to her mouth and then yanks it away really fast.

Milk-Does it correctly

Drink-Instead of bringing her hand to her mouth like she is holding a drink, she waves her hand back and forth in the correct drink position.

More-Instead of bring both hands together (envision a talking hand, but with the mouth closed), she only closed one of her hands and leaves the other completely open. It looks like she is giving a time out.

When she really wants something and you have told her "no" or you don't notice her signing, she will start doing all of her signs in frustration. It reminds Rodney and I of Conan doing all of his tricks just so he can get a cookie. lol!
