Galveston Day 1

We loaded up yesterday and headed to Galveston for our very first family vacation in 5 years. Whoa, I can't believe it has been so long, but once we had Caroline, things just came to a stand still until we could get through some of the difficult stages.  What we thought was a 4.5 hour drive, was actually a 6.5 hour drive.  I was so nervous about how the girls would do and packed enough craft/art supplies to last a year, but the girls did GREAT!  There was no crying or fussing the entire way there.  Our girls were super stars. :o)

This was our first real day there.  We woke up, did a craft, and then headed to the beach for the first time.

Caroline was in heaven and kept saying, "beach! beach!" LOL Aubrey was just as excited and immediately went into the water.

I got the girls wetsuits to help keep them warmer since the water was pretty chilly.

Caroline didn't mind sticking her feet in the cold water.

The kids (our girls, Jax's, and Aubrey) enjoyed playing in the sand.

Daddy enjoyed taking Aubrey out to jump the waves, and making sandcastles with the girls.
