We headed to the Perot Museum today with Danielle and Gavin. Of course the kids liked looking at the dinosaurs and other floors, but they loved the kids museum the best.
Aubrey had her first ballet class today. The schedule said not to buy anything for class, so I decided to follow the instructions and go after class to purchase the outfit. Fail!!! She was the only girl in the class without an outfit. She was sad and felt so different. My heart broke, but insisted that she continue with class despite her pleads to do the class the next day when she had her outfit. Here she is in her new outfit. She said she is really for her ballet class.
Aubrey hates to put her hair up, brush it, or really do anything with it. So, I decided that it was time for a change and we needed to go short. I was a little hesitant at first, but it is hair and it will grow back. I think we all love the new hair style. It is easy to manage, it is cooler, it doesn't get tangled, and it is just perfectly cute on her.
Summer has begun and we are back at our "beach." Today we headed out with a few of our friends. Sandcastle building, swimming and a picnic were all part of the fun for today.
This year there were some really pretty sunflowers north of where we live. Of course I needed to take a few pictures of the girls in front of the pretty flowers.
Caroline may have not smile for me, but Aubrey gave me a few pretty faces.
In typical fashion, some was crying during the sibling shot. :o)
After eight great years in our house, we have sold our house and are officially living in an apartment while we wait on our house in Trophy Club to be built. It will be an adjustment, but one that will be full of exciting and new adventures. As military brats, it's important to teach kids that the home isn't the most important thing, the most important thing is that you are with your family. Here is to some fun adventures in the coming 6 months.
