The Turtle

This past weekend Rodney rescued a turtle that was along side the road.  There were no other cars around, so Rodney showed the girls the turtle.  Apparently the turtle was upset, so it peed on Rodney's shoe.  I have heard no less than 100 times how Daddy saved the turtle, but the turtle was mad and peed, and then it was happy when Daddy put him back in the water.  She then tells me that Turtles and rabbits shouldn't be in the road. 

Rodney drew a picture of a turtle on a hill.  Aubrey added Daddy carrying the turtle and then a black line near the back of him because he peed. LOL!  Rodney is glad this left and impression on her, but he did tell me, "I took her to a wildlife ranch and showed her all of these wild animals.  She even got to hold a baby kangaroo, and the one thing she remembers from this weekend is a turtle I rescued on the side of the road." This just goes to show that you never know what your kid is going to find important and memorable to them. 

Caroline is so silly!  Life is so hard, so you have to take time to lay on the floor.
