Caroline

Look who is getting on their knees?  She still has a ways to go before she crawls, but I am just proud to see the determination in this little girl.  Today she army crawled (slowly) to her baby iPod toy.  I just hope she gets the hang of army crawling, so she can pull herself around the house when she gets her cast.

After putting her in this chair to sit, I realized that this is going to be a great chair for her to use when she gets her spica cast.  Lets just hope that Miss Aubrey is willing to share.  Caroline can still prop sit, but she will throw herself backwards without any warning.
Since I am not going to introduce foods to Caroline while she is in her cast, I am trying to introduce as many as I can before the cast.  This week we did zucchini, summer squash, and Parmesan cheese mix together. She loved it.  I also introduced peas a few days later and she was okay with them, but not as thrilled.
She only made this face a few times.  Ha!
I got out Aubrey's fishing game and thinking it was safe, I left Caroline on the opposite side of the room.  I heard some banging in the playroom and entered to find Caroline playing with the fish.  Oops!

  1. She is such a cutie! I love the pictures you snapped of her, they are amazing (are you a professional photographer?) She seems like such a tough little cookie and my heart melts for her. Why have you decided not to give her solids when she is in the cast? We have started introducing solids to our little one and have had no issues with it while in the cast...we thought it might make for messy diapers, but it actually makes for more manageable, predictable diapers...something to consider? Love your blog...and am falling in love with your girls through it!

  2. Glad you like my blog! I have fun and can't believe I have been doing it for 2.5 years. I do have a little photography business (www.onedimplephotography.com), but since having Caroline, I really haven't had the time. Caroline is a BIG Mommy's girl and has just now start to tolerate Daddy. :o(

Caroline has horrible reflux. We started solids at three months but it has been trial and error to find what she can tolerate and what she can't. I don't want to introduce new foods once she is in the cast because I want to know if it is the cast or her reflux. Once she seems okay in the cast, I may start introducing more foods.
